TANMIYA Business Partners

Trade missions to the Gulf

We connect your business with the world.

Service description

Expanding your business network and connecting with the key players in your industry are essential to a company's growth.

We organise trade missions and strategic events for business delegations, groups of companies, chambers of commerce, internationalisation bodies and public and public-private institutions.

A mission is neither a company trip nor a visit to a trade fair: it is a joint, structured prospecting exercise in a market, with a programme confirmed before you travel.

The mission is prepared before anyone boards a plane: objectives are defined, the participating companies are analysed, contacts are selected and screened, and meetings are confirmed. It can be organised around a sector trade fair, such as The Big 5, Gulfood or Intersec, with visits to the venue, meetings with exhibitors, conferences and networking sessions. We work in this format with chambers of commerce and trade promotion agencies, including the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.

High-impact networking

We connect your company with the key players in your industry through tailored missions and events.

What does our service include?

01

Organising trade missions to strategic markets

Designing the mission from start to finish: objective, sectors, countries and schedule. The UAE as the base, and Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf when the destination calls for it.

02

Coordinating B2B meetings with potential clients and partners

Each company in the delegation travels with its own confirmed programme, not with a shared list of attendees.

03

Planning and running corporate events

Presentations, sector meetings and networking events, including the protocol side, which in the Gulf is not a mere formality.

04

Logistics and support at trade fairs and exhibitions

Registration, stand space, set-up, transfers and support during the days of the fair.

05

Coordination with institutions and chambers of commerce

Joint work with chambers of commerce, trade promotion agencies, internationalisation bodies and business associations, including the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.

06

Preparing the participating companies

Market briefing, information on business culture and protocol, a review of the presentations and a profile of each contact. Arriving prepared changes the outcome of the week.

07

Networking and positioning strategies

How to present yourself, to whom and what to do on your return. A mission without follow-up is a travel expense.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a trade mission and going to a trade fair?

At a trade fair, you wait for someone to come to your stand. On a mission, you arrive with confirmed meetings and screened counterparts, and usually with the backing of an institution. They are different and complementary efforts.

Do you organise missions for a single company?

Yes, although the natural format for this service is the delegation. For a single company with its own agenda, the better fit is usually a meeting programme; a mission makes sense when there is a group, a sector or an institution behind it.

Do you work with chambers of commerce and public bodies?

Yes, it is an important part of the firm's work: chambers of commerce, trade promotion agencies, internationalisation bodies and European public and public-private institutions. Among them, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.

Have you worked with trade fairs such as The Big 5, Gulfood or Intersec?

Yes. A mission can be organised around a sector trade fair, with visits to the venue, meetings with exhibitors, conferences and B2B meetings during the days of the event, in addition to the preparatory work and the follow-up afterwards.

Are the meetings confirmed before we travel?

That is the aim, and the main difference from a sales trip. The programme is prepared in advance: identifying objectives, analysing the participating companies, selecting and screening contacts, coordination and confirmation. Arriving and starting to make calls is not a mission.

What happens after the mission?

Follow-up is what determines whether the mission was worthwhile. We stay in touch with the counterparts from here, in their time zone, and that is usually where business representation or the following quarter's meeting programme comes in.

What type of company is it designed for?

For groups of companies, chambers of commerce, trade promotion agencies, sector associations or delegations that want to prospect a market in an organised way.

How many companies can take part?

There is no fixed number. We design the mission according to the sector, objectives, logistical capacity and the number of B2B meeting programmes that can be managed properly.

Can you organise a trade mission in the UAE?

Yes. It is one of our main markets, and we have been organising business and institutional projects since 2008.

And in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. We organise and coordinate missions and meeting programmes in Saudi Arabia with local support.

Do you work in other Gulf countries?

Yes. Depending on the project, we work in Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and other GCC markets.

Do you organise B2B meetings?

Yes. B2B meeting programmes are usually one of the central elements of the mission.

How do you select contacts?

According to the sector, objectives and profile of each participating company. We look for relevance and decision-making power; we do not fill the programme for the sake of volume.

Do you include institutional meetings?

Yes, when they make sense and the relevant body is available.

Do you organise company visits?

Yes. We can combine meetings, company visits, projects, facilities and sector organisations.

Can you organise events or conferences?

Yes. We can coordinate presentations, seminars, networking and corporate events within the mission.

Do you handle logistics?

Yes, depending on the scope: programme, transport, venues, on-the-ground coordination, accreditation and other elements.

Do you accompany the delegation in person?

Yes, when it is included in the project. We usually recommend a local presence to resolve any issues and coordinate the programme.

Do you offer interpreting?

We can coordinate professional interpreting when needed, and we work in Spanish, English and Arabic within the team/network.

Can you organise multi-sector missions?

Yes, although they require more complex planning, because each sector needs different counterparts and a different programme.

Can you organise single-sector missions?

Yes. In fact, single-sector missions usually allow a more specialised programme and better use of trade fairs and associations.
