UAE tax deregistration: Corporate Tax and VAT
We handle tax deregistrations where appropriate. The FTA has separate processes for Corporate Tax and VAT, and requires the reason to be justified and final obligations to be completed.

When it applies
This applies after cessation of activity, sale, merger, redomiciliation or other circumstances that create an obligation to deregister.
Requirements
Evidence of the cessation/sale/merger, financial statements, the cancelled licence where applicable, and final returns.
Timeframes
The FTA currently publishes an estimated 30 working days for Corporate Tax deregistration and 20 working days for VAT deregistration once the application is complete.
Common mistakes
Cancelling the licence without deregistering; filing late; not filing the final return; missing documents.
